I attended the impromptu vigil on the steps of the Supreme Court immediately following the announcement that late Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had died. Shortly into the piece there is an audio story I created on Adobe Audition.

The survey focused in on how individuals' perceptions of LGBT+ people and thcan dramatically impact their mental health.
I reviewed the celebrated original Netflix series Ratched starring Sarah Paulson as Nurse Ratched of One Who Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest fame.

Examining closely the behaviors of the character in the show, I discuss how they can be linked to the cycle of trauma experienced by many abused individuals.

Two Muted Groups Combined: LGBT+ Female-Identifying Super Heroes
I chose to look at LGBT-identifying female super heroes and how they have been represented in Marvel and DC comics throughout the years both in print and on the silver screen. The LGBT community and women are two of the largest muted groups of all socially communicating groups. Since we currently have a large influx of interest in comics and comic book heroes because of the film industry, I felt as though it were an appropriate topic for analyzation.
